An Open Lettr

To the young woman working the register at the bake shop today,

There was no need to apologize for the wait, I am always as patient as I can with food service having worked it myself. And I hope you do not think my look of frustration and tired annoyance was directed at you…not at all…but rather it was directed at the extremely rude European Tourist who was very clearly, and not at all subtly attempting to cut in front of me in line.

To you sir, I hope you know that it is not acceptable behavior or etiquette to move in and out of place in line willy nilly, nor is it acceptable to try and weasle your way in front of me while I am attempting to purchase a much needed coffee and muffin. In case you hadn’t noticed the pollen count is absurdly high today, and my allergy meds aren’t exactly a glass of RED BULL so I am no mood for your shenanigans today.

Wait your turn, kiss my ass, and enjoy the rest of your visit to America.
