Got my 360 back from my buddy all fixed and ready to continue NEW VEGAS…and since I’m home today waiting for my laptop to arrive, I figured a nice long game session was in order. A few hours later, my courier was fully fleshed out as the diplomatic Space Cowboy of the wastes.

That’s not to say my trigger finger isn’t getting exercise…it’s Fallout after all…I just prefer the diplomatic route whenever possible. For example, take today’s session.

When last I played, Manny in Novak asked me to take care of the gouls at the REPCONN site in return for the information on that bastard Benny. After speaking with Jason Blight, it became clear that their so called “great journey” wasn’t going to hurt anyone, and since the launch pad was heavily radiated anyways, I wasn’t taking away any scrap metal away from Novak.

So, it was off to the basement to take care of the Nightkin…which, my first “gun and run” approach didn’t end well, and since I forgot to save, I figured I would see if there was a speech option with Davinson BEFORE killing everything in sight. Sure enough there was.

After jumping through hoops for both Davinson and the goul in the locked room (I forget his name), searching for the appropriate parts and adjusting the navigation computer to more closely meet the needs of the Blight Flock, the “great journey” was a resounding success! Not only did I walk away with a few more levels under my belt and some decent karma and fame, but I got me a spiffy new space suit (fanart of my current character getup to follow).

I have to admit, the suit goes with with my plasma rifle…
