Page 6 of AVERY LIBRARY is coming along rather nicely. It’s odd to look back on page one, which was done only a few months ago, and see the progress that has been made. Unfortunately I’m getting the urge to re-draw some of the pages in the future, which is not a prospect I am entirely pleased with, due to the fact that the character models have changed in some drastic ways since their original conception. We’ll see what the future brings, but right now I’m forcing that urge to remain suppressed in the back of my mind.

As I draw closer to Chapter 2 I realize I probably contact my editor and see if she’s still available to help me out on the scripts, if not I always have the one I used for my old AZA Halloween Special.

Speaking of AZA, I probably should update both the website as well as the Facebook Fan Page, if only to play the role of the Irish Policeman…

…although I should probably put it more delicately than that. It’s been a long time coming but I think at this point AZA is officially dead, for a number of reasons.

Although it’s mostly because I’m not getting any ideas for scripts anymore and am having far too much fun with the more cartoony style to go back to my quasi-realism style, there’s another more personal reason.

I was a TOOL in college. The more I look back, the more evident this becomes. There are many things that happened in college that I’m not proud of, not to mention delicate details regarding past relationships that would be best not to be brought to light out of respect of both parties involved.

It was a good ride while it lasted but sadly, it’s time to move on to other things. I’m happy with AVERY LIBRARY in every way. I’m not bound by a schedule, I don’t have a enough of a reader-base to feel obligated to work, I’m having fun drawing, and it’s not an ongoing serial and I have the entire story planned and written (for the most part.) To all those who supported and read AZA in the past, thanks SO MUCH, and here’s hoping I’ll see you enjoying AVERY LIBRARY or one of my many planned projects for the future.
