Last night was a momentous night indeed.
I am not at all a proponent of Vegetarianism or Veganism, if people want to do it that’s fine with me, but it’s not my bag. Why? Well, our bodies are built from the ground up to be omnivores. So why would I deprive my body of the protein and nutrients I can very easily get from meat?
“Tofu is just as good as meat!”
Bull-fucking-shit.
I’ll tell you something. I had Tofu last night, and I kept and open mind and palette. Especially since the stuff was cheap as all hell. If I liked it, I would fully admit it. I would sing it’s fucking praises from the rooftops.
But guess what? I wasn’t impressed.
It was bland (even after being marinated), the texture was extremely off-putting, and searing did absolutely jack-shit to add to the flavor.
If you are a vegetarian or vegan, and love the stuff, that’s your prerogative. Enjoy your solidified Elmer’s Glue…but me, I’m going to stick with the real thing, what nature intended…a nice hunk of cow, chicken, pork, or fish…a good venison is quite nice on occasion too.
Just a short list of the selection of food options I have at my disposal in my modest little kitchen…

So, I’ve been getting a lot of compliments recently about how much weight I lost, and apparently I’m continuing to lose. Of course, as anyone else who’s lost weight knows, these compliments are followed by the question…”How’d you do it?”
Well, I’m a personal believer in that everyone has something that works for them, so I’m not sure how helpful my process will help you but for the sake of answering the question for all who wants to know…here you go.
First thing’s first…this is NOT a diet. Diets do not work, this was a complete change in the way I eat and live. If you try a diet, you go in with a psychological viewpoint that it is temporary and once you lose the weight you can go back to what you did…which is not the case.
My change in lifestyle basically followed a few simple rules when you break it down. Some were easier to follow than others…
That’s it really…cooking also helped out a bit. Cooking from scratch gives you better control of what goes into your food and portion control, but other than that, those six simple rules guided me from 297 to 217 pounds in just under four years…yeah, four years. What? I didn’t say it took me a short amount of time to get here…
