New video I made for work. Had a lot of fun with this one. So many interesting angles and compositions to shoot!
New work video! This one was a bit of a pain, but in then end I feel it came together quite nicely.
The latest video I made for work. If you haven’t noticed, I’ve been experimenting with style the last few videos, trying to explore the more minimalist approach to documentary film-making.
With the last video, I used a lot of dialogue-free footage, trying to allow the visuals to speak for themselves and let the audience really get into what it is they are looking at. With this video, I did the exact opposite.
I felt that the interviews with these people were done extremely well, and that each person was comfortable enough on camera to really express their feelings about the subject matter. By allowing them to speak from the heart, with no competing visuals to distract the viewer, I was hoping to provide a connection to be formed between the interviewee and the viewer; to really give the viewer a chance to listen to what was being said and how it was being said, to see if it would move them on an emotional level enough to care about the subject matter even though they see very little of what it is that’s being talked about.
That’s what I was going for anyways…let me know what you think!
Yes…I am a colossal nerd
New work video…for this one I wanted to try something different, change up my style a bit. I decided to go for a “no music” approach, focusing more on nat sound and letting the viewer really get into to imagery.
I’m quite happy with the results, I think it’s one of my better editing pieces.
This really puts things in perspective as far as the whole fiasco goes.
Also, I find it amusing that they can say “Fuck” several times throughout the video but the only time anyone gets bleeped is when they say “asshole”
This is one of our newest videos produced for work. We’re super proud of this one, and for good reason I think.
This one’s going in the portfolio for sure!
Script/Narration: Yours Truly
Camera/Editing: Dan Harvison
Another work video.
I wrote the script on this one and of course, the incomparable Dan did the editing.
Really happy with how it came out.
